Boys Varsity Swimming · Barracuda Boys Swimmers Repeat as SPAA Champions


The University Christian High School boys swim team won their second consecutive Southern Piedmont Athletic Association championship on January 31 at the Hickory Foundation YMCA.  Led by senior All Conference and All State performer Tommy Little and juniors Zack Johnson and Henry Winfield the Barracudas (214 points) outpaced Statesville Christian in second (144), Hickory Christian Academy (104), Woodlawn School (45) and United Faith Christian Academy (18).  Little and Johnson had two individual wins along with being on two winning relays.  Winfield had one individual win and two relay wins and David Cabral was on the two winning relay teams.  UCHS claimed first in seven of the eleven events in the boys program.
