Barracudas News · Spring Sport Senior Athlete Focus: Peri Wall

Peri Wall is a senior member of the Lady Barracudas girls soccer team.  She is the daughter of Leslie and Kevin Wall.  In addition to soccer Peri was a three year member of both the UCHS volleyball and basketball programs during her athletic career.  Peri was a captain on the 2019 volleyball team and earned SPAA All-Conference honors in volleyball in 2018.  She was part of the University Christian volleyball team that advanced to the NCISAA 2A Elite Eight in the fall of 2018.

During her career as a member of the Lady Barracudas soccer program she was named outstanding offensive player in 2018, her sophomore season.  It was that same season that saw Peri and the UCHS girls qualify for the NCISAA playoffs for the first time, losing a one game decision at American Hebrew Academy.

While at University Christian Peri has lived out the call to be a servant leader to others by volunteering at the Hickory Art Museum and Safe Harbor Rescue Mission.  She also enjoys painting and shopping in her free time.

Peri will enter North Carolina State University in the fall but is, as yet, undecided on her major.  When asked about her favorite memory from soccer Peri did not single out one in particular, instead she said, “I loved all the teams every year. Everyone had such high spirits and it was such a nice environment”.

Peri Wall closes her athletic career as one of the best all around athletes ever to compete at UCHS.  Always a young lady of few words, Peri summed up her message to her teammates in just seven, “Be good. I will miss you all”.

Peri’s smiling face has been a wonderful addition to University Christian during her four years here.  We will miss her and we wish her all God’s blessings as she moves on to college next fall.
