Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Among Top Teams Going Into State Championship

The Lady Barracuda tennis team lost a close 5-4 decision at host Kerr-Vance Academy on Tuesday afternoon, ending their season with a 10-3 record and falling one match short of the state title match.  Kerr-Vance the #2 seed made up a deficit as they trailed the visiting #3 seed UCHS squad midway through the match.

Volleyball Defeats Halifax Academy, Falls to Cape Fear Academy in Playoffs

In a round one match of the NCISAA 1A volleyball playoffs University Christian High School defeated Halifax Academy 3-1.  The win against Halifax moved UCHS into a second round matchup with Cape Fear Academy and the Lady Barracudas fell 3-0. The loss ends the Lady Barracudas’ season at 11-7 and marks the furthest the UCHS

Women’s Tennis Moves Into Semifinals With Win Over Northeast

In first round NCISAA 1A Tennis playoff action at Catawba Country Club University Christian High School (3# seed) narrowly defeated Northeast Academy (#6 seed) from Lasker NC 5-4.  The win moves UCHS into the quarterfinals of the state tournament where they will play the winner of #2 Kerr-Vance Academy and #7 Greenfield on October 25.

University Christian’s men placed three runners in the top eight and earned runner-up honors at the SPAA Conference Championship on Thursday, October 20 at Southside Park in Newton. Women’s Tennis to Open State Playoffs

The UCHS women’s tennis team will open NCISAA 1A state playoff action on Friday, October 21 at Catawba Country Club Tennis Center.  The match will begin at 2:30 and will pit the #3 seeded Lady Barracudas, fresh off their SPAA Championship, against the #6 seeded Northeast Academy Lady Eagles from Lasker, NC, in Northampton County.

Volleyball Game Time Changed for Playoff Match

The start time for UCHS first round volleyball match against Halifax Academy has been moved from 10:00 am on Friday, October 21 to 12:00 noon.  The match is played at the site of the #4 seed Statesville Christian School.  If the Lady Barracudas win they will face #5 seed Cape Fear Academy at 3:30.
