Hayden Patel Finishes 3rd in 800 Meters at State Track Meet

Hayden Patel entered the NCISAA Division III State Track and Field Championships as the #7 seeded runner but his qualifying time was within striking distance of the leaders.  Racing in a very tightly bunched field Patel ran a very strategic race and made a decisive surge on the backstretch to move into the third position.

A conflict with the timing company has resulted in the Catawba County Track Championship being moved up a day from Wednesday, April 3 to Tuesday, April 3.  The meet will be held at Lenoir-Rhyne University with events scheduled to begin at 4:00.
