Lady Barracudas Open NCISAA Playoffs at Home vs Statesville Christian

The UCHS girls tennis team, fresh off capturing their second consecutive FAC championship and fourth conference tile in a row will open the NCISAA 2A state playoffs as the #2 seed in the west.  Their opponent will be FAC foe Statesville Christian in a match set for 4PM on Tuesday, October 20 at Catawba Country

Change Made to NCISAA Spectator Policy

On Thursday, October 8 the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Administration (NCISAA), after consultation with health officials, member schools and it’s board of governors, announced a change in the policy for spectators at athletic events. Lady Barracudas Tennis Opens FAC Tournament as #2 Seed

The UCHS girls tennis team finished the regular season with a 4-2 record in Foothills Athletic Conference play and 5-3 overall.  The Lady Barracudas will host Statesville Christian School, the #3 seed,  at 4pm on Tuesday, October 13 at Catawba Country Club.  The winner will advance to play the winner of #1 seed Davidson Day

Girls Tennis Blanks Statesville Christian for Season Sweep

Playing their home opener at Catawba Country Club on September 22 the Lady Barracudas defeated Statesville Christian 9-0.  Twelve players participated in the scoring as none of the singles players played doubles.  The win moves UCHS to 2-0 on the season and in FAC conference play as they await a home non-conference tilt against the Asheville

Girls Tennis Dominates First Match of the Season

With a number of new younger players the UCHS girls picked up where the program had left off last season by turning in a dominant performance against Statesville Christian School in the season opener.  Playing at Statesville Country Club the Lady Barracudas posted an 8-1 victory over the host Lady Lions.  Winners for UCHS were:

Fall Sports Parents Meetings August 31 and September 1

Parents of students in girls tennis and boys and girls cross country are invited to a meeting on Monday, August 31 in the sanctuary of St. Andrews Lutheran Church and volleyball and boys soccer parents will meet on Tuesday, September 1 in the same location.  Both meetings will begin at 6pm. Fall Sports Schedules are Finalized

Pursuant to a directive from the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association (NCISAA) University Christian High School will begin competition in fall sports beginning on Monday, September 14.  Volleyball, girls tennis, boys soccer and boys and girls cross country teams schedules are now posted under the “Fall Sports” tabs on this website.  Follow the drop

All NCISAA Fall Sports Moved Back

On Monday, July 20, 2020  NCISAA athletic directors were in a Zoom meeting with NCISAA Executive Director Homar Ramirez and received instructions on the state association’s plan for return to play for fall sports. July 27-August 9 schools may conduct voluntary workout sessions in cross country, girls tennis, volleyball and boys soccer following the summer
